The statistics for cosmetic surgery trends in 2014 have been published by The American Society of Plastic Surgeons. It is always interesting to see what the most popular procedures are!
The top 5 cosmetic surgery procedures in 2014 were:
- Breast Augmentation: 286,000 procedures – down 1% from 2013
- Nose Reshaping (Rhinoplasty): 217,000 procedures – down 2% from 2013
- Liposuction: 211,000 procedures – up 5% from 2013
- Eyelid Surgery: 207,000 procedures – down 4% from 2013
- Facelift Surgery: 128,000 procedures – down 4% from 2013
A few other procedures that are worth noting (as we do them in our Santa Barbara cosmetic surgery office) are:
- Tummy Tuck: 117,000 procedures – up 5% from 2013
- Neck Lift Surgery: 55,000 procedures – no change from 2013
- Forehead Lift: 42,000 procedures – down 9% from 2013
